Right Side Of The Nose Is Numb And Coughing Up Blood After Being Punched In The Eye. Is It An ER Case?

I was punched in the eye 3 days ago. At the first, the eye was swollen shut, but now has gone down with only bruises remaining. My biggest concern is that the right side of my nose is numb and I m coughing up blood. I was first thinking this was from congestion but am not sure. Should I seek emergency care?

Hi,welcome to health care magic forum.
Numbness on nose, associated with blood(probably of nasal origin) following trauma is suggestive injury to nasal mucosa, with probable nasal bone fracture.Though not an emergency(unless you have severe headache or watery discharge on stooping forward
),you should get it examined by an ENT surgeon.Usually,it can be managed with antibiotics and antihistaminics,to avoid infection and promote healing of the wound.Meanwhile, you avoid forceful sneezing and repeated attempted coughing up.
Hope you will find this information useful.Thank you.
