Redness In Outer Corner Of Left Eye, Dryness. Had Laser Treatment Months Back. Anything To Worry?
Hi, I have been through laser for vision correction ten months before. I met with an accident in the month of december last year. I went to my eye specialist and she told me that everything is fine with your eyes.It was relief statement. But just two days before I am getting redness in the outer corner of my left eye.Their is a feeling of dry eyed. I am using refresh tear eye drop. Could you suggest me if this is a matter of concern ? I am really worried.
Laser therapy of the eyes can cause dryness of eyes. This is a common side effect and there is nothing to worry. The dryness clears away with passage of time. Artificial tears that you are using will help in removing the dryness. If the symptoms of dryness are very troublesome, you can increase the frequency of artificial tears.
The redness in the eyes occurs due to many reasons. It could be due to congestion of vessels which can accompany dry eyes. Redness can also occur in case of trauma or injury. In order to rule out injury or trauma, a clinical examination is required. You can consult an ophthalmologist to look for other cause of redness of eyes.
