Recurring Cough, Coughing Up Blood. Have Smoking Addiction. Worried
Im 15 I ve had a reoccuring cough for a few weeks now, most likely from smoking weed and cigarettes, I havnt smoked in a few days since I coughed up bloody mucus it wasn t alot but it was a few times in the same day and today I blew my nose numerous times and there was blood out of one nostril atleast 10 times none of it was running, I havnt really had any other symptoms but I was wondering what to do
Do you have any other complaints like weight loss?
Is there any history of contact with a case of tuberculosis?
Do you have any fever?
Blood in the sputum requires thorough examination and further investigations including a X ray chest to arrive at a diagnosis.
Nasal bleeding could be because of various causes. It could be because of nose picking, improper blowing of the nose or hypertension among various other causes. A local examination including blood pressure record is required to identify the cause.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
