Reason For Dry, Pink, Non-itchy Patch On Back Of Leg?

about 6 weeks ago I felt this dry patch on the back of my leg while putting on lotion. It s was a bright pink(not really red) dry circle about the size of a pencil eraser. It does not itch at all....I wouldn t have even noticed it if it wasn t so dry feeling. It is now the size of a dime. Do you have any idea what it might be? Is there anything I could put on it to make it go away? I am a nursing student with no time, money, or insurance.....any advise would be helpful. Thanks

Hello,

I have gone through your query and it seems to be discoid eczema. I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily along with the frequent and regular application of a moisturizing lotion on the entire leg 2-3 times in a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
