Rapid Weight Loss, Diarrhea, Calcium Deficiency, Loss Of Appetite. Type 2 Diabetic, Under Medication. Advice?

Hi I have had rapid weight loss (without trying) about 10-12 kgs in about 8 weeks, diarrohoea, calcium deficiency, low thyroid activity, elevated white cell count, fatigue and weakness decreased appetite, rumbling (loud) stomach sounds. I am also type 2 diabetic which I take Janumet 1000mg bd, and ostelin 1000iu bd. I am 161 cm and weigh 60 kg. Hope you can shed some light.

Hello,

Metformin(Janumet) may cause diarrhea in some patient and weight loss.

But more then 10 kgs in 8 weeks is very significant and more than what metformin can do.

Inspite of having condition hypothyroidism and diabetes which may cause obesity, but you're on the losing side.

What concerns me is your Elevated white cell count.
It may be due to infection or cancer.

You need to consult your doctor in this regard.
