Prescribed with isotroin and supatret for boils on scalp. Is it a safe medication?

I have boils on my scalp . My dermatologist prescribed me isotroin tablets for 6 months and he also said said that when i get acne on my face and scalp then i can use the Supatret C ointment on my those boils that are present on the scalp. Is it safe to use the ointment on my scalp? I have been using it for months everytime i get a boil. Will there be any side effects?
