Prescribed With Utovlan To Delay Period. Started Periods. Will The Medication Affect Now?

I have been prescribed utovlan to delay my period. I go on holiday on monday 9th july which was when my period was due to start. I was supposed to start taking utovlan today (friday) but i forgot and now my period had just started. I took the first pill , but will it actually stop my period before monday or just prolong it? Thanks!

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
There is no use of taking the medicine after the periods have already started. It is best to stop the medicine and let the proper bleeding continue for few days.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
