Prescribed Colimex-df Drops. Not Passed Motion After Taking This Medicine. Right Medication?

My 3 weeks old new born has a bowel pattern of passing Frequent stool, watery,sometimes curdled ,which I knw is normal for a new born .her anus is always seen with bit of stool .she was passing motion with same frequency with some difficulty for past two days, she has been prescribed with colimex -DF drops .after having this for 4 doses now she has not passed motion for 12 hours.,and also struggling .pls help me in this issue

Hello,

Frequent stool in new born is because of the nature of their diet which consist of milk(ie. Fluids) and not well developed gastro colic reflux. This will improve as the age increases.

If she as passed urine frequently in this 12 hrs period than you don't have to worry. You can wait and watch.

Consult your Pediatrician if she shows any sign of abdominal distension and vomiting.
