Plantar Fasciitis. Taking Revlimid With Dexamethazone MM Maintenance. Advised NSAIDs For Inflammation. Contraindications?
I take 25 mg of Revlimid daily with Dexamethazone once weekly for MM maintenance. I have devleloped plantar fasciitis and was told by orthropedic doc to take NSAIDs to treat the inflammation. I take a daily 325 mg aspirin to lower risk of blot clots from the Revlimid. Have had none since starting this regimin 7 mos. ago. Is there any contraindication for taking the NSAIDs?
HI Thank for asking to HCM Of course long term course of NSAID demands the medical attention particularly for kidney functions one should periodically test the renal function if taking NSAID for longer time, again steroid is induces more side effects than NSAID so I would advise you to have word with your doctor, I usually keep close watch on my patient where such regime is the only option, and it can be managed well, so nothing to worry, have nice day. ( Some alternative medicine would be given first preference, if symptomatic treatment is only option)
