Painful Toenail Growing In Skin, Black Discoloration, Diagnosed Rheumatism, Anemic, Bladder Control Issues. On Iron Tablets. Help

Hi, I have very recently started feeling pain in my left big toe. I immediately thought that it might gave been a case of the nail growing into the skin because that has happened before and back then i had just cut the nail short enough for a while. So i just cut the nail again thinking it might help. The cutting of the nail did not hurt but it did not help either. at the time i was wearing nail polish. when i removed the nail just right now i realized that there is a black discoloration at the right side of my toe and it is also there on the skin adjacent to the discoloration on the toe. I am still feeling the pain except it is less pronounced but the blackish discoloration has got me concerned and I wanna be sure it is worth the fuss before i go harassing my doctor about it. I only felt the pain when i put pressure on the toe right now but at first it was sensitive to any jarring or misstep. So should i be worried? is that in any way serious and worthy of worry and concern?

Medical History: I have been recently diagnosed as rheumatic and I am only 25 which had my doctor diagnosing it as genetic in my case. I was also on iron tablets for mild anemia and on am still on bladder muscle control tablets ( i miss the pill at times). the rheumatism treatment was "selektine'" 15mg and it was 2 tablets per day for 2 weeks only so am clean now but it still hurts.
