Tissue plasminogen activator, or streptokinase IV, Is given to dissolve blood clots that have formed in the coronary artery. Side effects bleeding,hypotension, allergic reactions, reperfusion cardiac arrhythmia's. Contraindications recent surgery,injury, Gi bleeding. At the same time give oxygen, nitro, morphine and gravol. Keep the K-basin handy because nausea and vomiting will soon follow.TPA and Streptokinase are classified as thrombolytic agents.
