Pain In Right Foot, Similar Pain Seen Earlier In Hands. How To Prevent It ?
I'm a 14 year old girl and am going to be turning 15 in about 20 days. I weigh around 100-110 pounds. Don't know if that matters but... Sometimes when I move my foot a certain way, I feel a great pain in my foot and it really hurts. It's happened in my right foot many times. I can't remember it's ever been in my left foot. It has also happened in my hands but that's been a long time. This has happened every once in a while last year and I didn't think it was very serious but it's been a year and I'm starting to realize it might. I think it could be a blood clot but I honestly have no idea. Also, i do not play any sports. Please let me know what this is and how to prevent it. Thanks you. Any feedback is appreciated!
Hi and thanks for the query, It becomes important since not only one joint is being affected but many joints, or spreading. It is important to know if there is any family history of rheumatoid arthritis or any joint disease. An erythrocyte sedimentation rate could show raised values indicating a chronic inflammatory process. The opinion of the rheumatologist to exclude any rhuematoid pathology (rheumatoid arthritis, seronegative juvenile rheumatoid arthritis) could be helpful. Thanks and kind regards
