Pain In Palm, Started Under Thumb, Becomes Stiff

I am a 24 year old female. Yesterday I suddenly had a severe pain in the palm of my left hand . It started under the thumb and has stretched to right under each finger . I cannot do anything with this hand because it hurts and gets stiff. I have a brace on it right now but it s still no better. I have no medical conditions.

Hi,
This could be carpal tunnel syndrome. This is a condition where one of the main nerves to the hand becomes compressed at the wrist causing pain. It is quite common and not serious. It can be treated with a minor operation. I suggest you see your doctor for further advice.
Regards,
