Pain In Hip, Lower Back And Left Thigh. X Ray Shows Fused Vertebrae And Bone Spurs. What Should Be Done?

I have had a lot of pain in left hip, lower back and down my left thigh, if I ever sit on the floor I cant get up the pain is horrendous in my thigh muscle. After xrays was told have two fused vertbraes and bone spurs on hip but told not to worry about it!! Chiropractor has not relieved the pain. I am usually a fit 70yr old female with a large garden and does aqua aerobics 3 times a week.

Hi,

For Bone spurs that cause symptoms are given medicines to relieve pain. Your hip x-ray shows a spur on hip and you have pain upto thighs, this means that it is irritating a nerve. In these cases surgical removal of spur is done. In the meantime, pregabaline and vit B12 will be of some help to decrease the pain. Fused vertebrae do not require attention due to your age.
