PCO. Had Miscarriage, Had Odd Spotting, Cramps, Tender Stomach, Flares Up. Taken Pill. Will I Be Okay?

HI, I have polystitic ovaries and recentl went through a miscarige a year ago where not everything came away and got infected and resulted in me being hospitalized. since this i have not had a full period just odd spotting but there is no set pattern to it, i do still get the pains when i should be on though. therefore i was advised to try coming of my pill for a while.

I have recently got a new partner and have been sexually active for about a 2/3 weeks now and when we first started i was still not taking my pill, i took the morning after pill after the first time and we used protection but he reacted to it, therefore the second time he didnt use it and i took the morning after pill two days after which i got through my gp and i also asked to be put back on the pill, as i dont have regular periods i started taking this the day after taking my second morning after pill.

i have recently been quite bloated but it comes and goes and seem to have an aching, burning cramp feeling on the right side of my stomach, sometimes it does spread but most of the time is localised. I also feel quite sick and my stomach is quite tender to the touch. I did a pregnancy test last friday and it was negative (i am not sure how soon you can find out if you are pregnant).

I also have a hyatus hernia (not sure if spelt that correctly) which does flare up ocassionally but i have had it for 7 years now and it does not really feel the same as when that flares up apart from the sickly burning.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Lisa

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.

Repeated usage of emergency pills can lead to side effects.
Refer:http://srsree.blogspot.in/2012/08/emergency-contraceptive-pill-short-term.html
There should be at-least two months gap between two pills.
Once consult gynecologist and get examined to rule out any possibility of pelvic infection.
If there is no PID, the cause for your problem may not be gynecology related.
Once go for ultrasound to clarify the doubt an depending on the report you can get treated.

Take care.
