On my next BD I will be 76I have had manysurgerries, 6 laminectomies, 1 fusion at L5=pigbone, 1 bunionectomy, big toe left foot and last year when I fell and twisted my knees and back I had surgery only left knee. None of these surgeries helped relieve the pain. I've taken many pain drugs and at best I may get 30% relief, enough to reasonably function without a cane. My pain medications have all been proscribed b y each of my family physicians. When I moved to California my new doctor continued my pain medication-Percocet 10-325 6 times aday every four hours.A month ago my Doctor, for no reason, asked me to find another doctor, that he would not renew my pain medication....So Cold Turkey. So with neuropathy from the bottom of my feet the tip-off my fingers I am in excruciating painI can't sleep but every 2 days hourly fractions because I literally pass out from exhaustion but wake up in less than an hour and begin the cycle over.So without pain medication I'm relegated to living a very short life.
