On Cirpofloxin. Can Musinex Be Taken Before Or After The Antibiotics?

I am taking cirpofloxin and it has been suggested I take musinex which contains magnesium stearate. The info from the pharmacy says I have to be careful with things like magnesium and calcium, etc. I'm guessing I can take musinex but have to take it 6 hrs before my antibiotic or two hours after?

Hi,Dear.Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC.
MUCINEX is a mucolytic containing guaifenesin it does not have any calcium or magnesium in it.So you can take it along with ciporofloxacin. There is no contraindication in b/w these two drugs.
But you should take mucinac with warm water it will help in getting out the blocked mucus.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.
