On Birth Control, Cramping Pain Near Hip, Hurts On Moving, Stretching. Periods Late. Why?

Hi I'm 17 and on birth control i take it everyday within 2 hours of 8am. Today I have had a stitch like cramping pain in the left side of my body just under my hip, it really hurt to move and if I stretched on stood straight It felt like it was straining or was going to rip. I am 2 days over due of my period, what could it be?

The pain in the hip is not likely to be related to the delay in the periods. Since you are taking the pill regularly, the chances of conception are not there. It is more likely to be a muscular pain.
