mY SISTER HAD A HYSTERECTOMY ON FRIDAY AND AS OF TODAY SHE IS STILL NUMBER LOWER LEFT LIP OF HER MOUTH. ANYTHING SHE CAN DO AND HOW LONG DOES THIS LAST? already called her dr, who referred her to hospital anestheia dr who said if she still has it tomorrow to go to e r. no one will give a real answer, can u help us. i told her to put a warm compress on it.

Hi, the lip has nothing to do with the surgery, and during the anaesthesia, there will be a tracheal tube kept through the mouth, and there could be pressure on the lip. it may be cleared in few days, with the drugs using post operatively. If no relief consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment.
