Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
The description of the 'chaffed' surface sounds like it has appeared after either sexual intercourse or
masturbation.
But if neither of these activities were conducted anytime prior to the appearance of this presentation, then this is most probably a
urinary tract infection. Symptoms of which include:
-Burning sensation while urinating
-Frequent urination
-Increased urge to urinate, but less amount of urine passed
-Chills
-Fever
-Lower abdominal and/or flank region pain
-Itching around the genitals
-Blood in urine or immediately after (not always seen)
Please note that not all symptoms need to be present to clinically suspect a UTI. We will of course have to confirm this with the help of a urine analysis. You may conduct a urine analysis and meet a doctor to interpret the report, and in case an infection is present, advise treatment.
Treatment includes antibiotic coverage, pain management medication (in case pain is present) and a urine alkalizer (which helps in reducing or relieving symptoms like burning, itching, etc.
In the meantime, please consume plenty of water and also add cranberry juice to your regimen. This will keep you hydrated and provide relief from UTI-related symptoms to a certain extent.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
