Not Getting Sleep, Waking Up Often In Between. What Should I Do?

Irrespective of what time I go to bed, presently working til 1.00 am in morning, in bed by 2.00am but usually am in bed before midnight, my problem is no matter the time, I wake up every night every two hours, and usually get up, go to the toilet and maybe have a small biscuit and drink of water be going back to bed. If I stay in bed I just do not get back to sleep. I read every night before turning out the light, and do not have anything on my mind. I feel very relaxed and get off to sleep quickly. Why am I waking up all the time and not sleeping for at least 6 - 7 hours at a time. I do a lot of exercise, and eat very healthy. I am slim and try to keep busy throughout the day. Please can I have an answer.

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Stress, anxiety and poor sleep hygiene most common causes of poor sleep in healthy person. Following steps will help you in sleep:
-Fix time to sleep and wake up. Do not take any nap.
-Do not use caffeine (tea, coffee and cold drink) till 4 hour before sleep
-Use less than 2 cup tea/coffee use per day
-Use bed only for sleep
-Do not watch television/use net till 1 hour before sleep.
-Prevent bright light exposure before sleeping.

If your sleep does not improve in 2 week, then you can meet nearby physician for evaluation and medications.

Wish you good health and all the best.
