Does the child have any symptoms of diabetes? If your child is thriving and not showing  symptoms of diabetes, then why are you checking the blood levels. If you have a family history..your mom and dad are diabetic or either you or your spouse are having diabetes, then you can suspect the child to have it, but I doubt if it wil show up so early in life. Normal for everyone is from 70 to 140 mg/dl. Anything over 125 in blood glucose can be considered as diabetic in children.
