No Period After Having Doxt-s Is Due To Its Side Effect?

Hello iam using doxt-s from past 15 days and i usually have 5 days delay in my period but there was no periods after using this. Does doxt-s has any side effects? please can you tell the reason. as my periods are regular before i used Doxt-s............

Hi,

Doxt-S tablet contains Doxycycline which is used to treat various bacterial infections. Irregularity in menstrual cycles is not reported as a side effect of Doxt-S as per the manufacturers. But, disturbance in the general health condition of the body due to infections, stress and strain, changes in diet, sleep, exercise, etc. by affecting the reproductive hormonal levels can lead to irregularity in menstrual periods.

If you are having any doubt regarding pregnancy, please go for a urine pregnancy test once. If the test gives negative result, possibly you may get periods once the condition for which you are taking the antibiotics gets cured. If you do not get periods, even after that, you can go for an ultrasound to find out the cause and can take the tablets with your doctor's advice to induce withdrawal bleeding.
