No Improvement With Elavil For Migraine. What Are The Factors That Trigger Migraine?

Hey, I been dealing with migraines for about 2 yrs now. An it's getting to where I can't sleep at night, and I'm feeling the pain all through my face and my neck. I went to a neurologist and he gave me elavil but I still woke up with the same painful migraine. I take pain killers, goody powders, and etc to stop my migraine and it does but not for long. I wrote a journal to help me understand what cause my migraines and couldn't find anything that helps me realize what triggers my migraines.
What can I do? Besides taking pills all the time

Hello,

I have studied your case.

Migraine usually involves half part of your head and associated with nausea.
Pain is severe and aggravated by triggering factors like irritant smell, travelling.

After clinical examination, medications for migraine like sumatriptans can be started consulting your doctor.
Lifestyle Modifications will help to reduce headache episodes
- Proper nutrition
- Regular physical activity
- Adequate sleep
- Stress reduction strategies
• Identify and avoid triggers (e.g., tobacco smoke, strong odours, or sprays).
• Address workplace ergonomics. (Attention to workplace ergonomics and instruction in self-care of neck tension can have a dramatic effect on headache frequency.)

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
