ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello and welcome to health care magic,

It could be due to an infection or a reflux or just an inflamed follicle

In any case you need get an upper GI endoscopy and get back to me or any ENT with the reports

Meanwhile you can try salt water gargle, antibiotics like amox-clav and anti reflux like pantoprazole in consultation with your doctor
Needless to say you must practice safe sex and if you do indulge in such act again then make sure you do gargle with an antiseptic solution like povidine iodine or an antiseptic mouthwash

regards

Dr Sriram Nathan
