Need Advice On Symptoms Of Swollen Lymph Node.

My right lymph node is swollen (not noticeable to many unless I point it) and it gives clear mucus so I always have to spit. When I swallow, I can feel something that is in the way. People had noticed my right throat a little swollen, but it never gave me trouble and so I ignored it until now. I weigh 110 pounds and I am 5 2 . Recently, I drank untreated water while travelling in the Philippines and I had bad case of diarrhea and vomiting, and insomnia and took 2 to 3 weeks to recover.

Hi dear. Thanks for writing on HCM.
I were to examine your throat.Since the lymph node is tender, swollen and painful this must be due to infection(reactive lyphadenitis).I were to evaluate the cause of mucus and treat it.Once this infection resolves lymph node disappears gradually and restores to normal function.Hope this answers your query.Get well soon.
