Nausea, Stomach Pain. On Nexium, Zofran, No Relief. Triple Bypass Surgery Done. Treatment?
MY HUSBAND HAD TRIPLE BY PASS ON JUNE 8. SINCE THE SURGERY HE HAS HAD CONSTANT NAUSEA AND STOMACH PAIN. WENT TODAY AND HAD AN ECG DONE AND DIDN T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. HE HAS BEEN ON NEXIUM AND ZOFRAN BUT THAT HAS NOT HELPED. THE DR TODAY PRETTY MUCH TOLD HIM IT IS IN HIS HEAD AND HE JUST NEEDS TO BE POSITIVE. THE PAIN AND NAUSEA ARE REAL. ANY SUGESTIONS?
The most probable factor contributing to his nausea problems are related to stomach issues for which fibrogastroscopy is needed for further determination.
Another factor could be related to central neurological concerns, which can be evaluated better by a neurologist.
All the best!
