Do Pravastatin And Clopidogrel Cause Dementia In Elderly Patients?

My wife is 78 and taking pravastatin and clopidogrel since she had three stents put in heart and corotic artery surgery three years ago. She now has symptoms of dementia. Confusion, thought process, loss of simple life requirement decisions, speech, & dizziness. Could it be the medicine?

I think you should check her cardiovascular system to rule out a possible cardiovascular event. Plus should consult with a neurologist to rule out a possible cerebrovascular accident.

If nothing organic, then psychiatrist and psychologist to consult further to evaluate her mental status.
