Suggest Treatment For Cough And Running Nose In An Infant
My one year old is sick. His symptoms are listless or crabby, he has a runny nose and cough he seems to want to sleep also. I had to wake him up this morning after 15 hours of sleep. He hasn’t slept through the night before. . He won’t eat or drink much. I brought him to the doctor today and he did not have a fever, ear infection or strep throat. He did have an ear infection last week but the doctor said he didn’t have one now. Any idea what it could be?

It could be an upper respiratory tract infection. Consult a pediatrician and get evaluated. Antibiotics may be started empirically. Wishing all the best. Saline nasal drops can be tried to relieve nasal congestion.
