Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My name is Ed Gradus, I've been a patient at the Robert J. Dole Medical Facility for six years . I've switched doctors four times in an attempt to get adequate care for even my most basic of needs. I've found that the level of care that I've received is woefully lacking in proper medical staffing. If I use the term "doctor" it would be only in the most loosest of meaning. Never have I suffered more discomfort and pain by any doctor as I have by my last doctor. What criteria needs to be met by a doctor coming from abroad to serve as a doctor for the V.A. ? I doubt that anyone on Capital Hill would want any of my previous doctors taking care of them or their families, yet I'm expected to trust my given providers with my life. Why aren't the vetted at a local trauma center for at least six months before joining the V.A. at a local facility. Why aren't they subjected to similar training as American trained doctors ?
