My mother is 92 years old and in relatively good

My mother is 92 years old and in relatively good health for her age. She is experiencing pain from the base of her skull. She has a red patch at the base of her skull. Her pain is relieved when she pushes on the patch. There is no swelling, crusty patches and it does not itch. She has had so much pain she took Tylenol with codeine. This is very unusual for her. Any ideas?

My 92 year old mother recently (36 days ago) had an aortic valve replacement. She came through the surgery but developed complications later and remains in hospital. 4 days ago she was put on life support after she developed fluid around her heart and her heart rate increased to dangerous levels. MRI shows there is no damage to the brain however attempts to bring her out have not been successful. Is there a point where Drs feel that being in this state becomes a danger to her recovery?

Hi my mother had a stroke, 2 yrs ago Feb. and is having some signs of dementia. Also, every time I call her, she seems so anger and rude. Is this normal for age of 92 and for what happened to her? Oh, she is able to bath dress herself, cook clean go out with friends by herself. Lives alone. Asked me to leave. She is upset that she can not drive and blames me that she sold the car. Her choice.
