Can I Replace The Pacemaker Which Is Been Implanted For 5 Years?

My 92 year old mother had a pacemaker implanted 5 years ago for AFib. Doctor has told her it is working 95% of the time and will last another 2-4 years. She is active and in otherwise good health. If it is working most of the time, would she be able to have the pacemaker replaced? Thanks!

Hi,
Your mother will need pacemaker replacement only after 2-4 years. She will be placed temporarily pacemaker during the procedure, so you shouldn't worry.
