My Mom Is 82 With Some Dementia. Been Taking 5

My mom is 82 with some dementia. Been taking 5 mg ambien for yrs. She had cerebral hemmorage 17 yrs. ago. Had 2 more strokes. Dr. wants 2 give her 25 mg seroquel because of seeing little children from time 2 time. Do away with ambien. Ive looked after my mom for 17 yrs. I gave up career with sheriff dept. 17 yrs. ago. After last stroke 7 yrs. ago Ive looked after her 24 : 7. My mom is very suspicious about any new meds. Havent tried seroquel yet. Im nervous about side effects and mom not taking them because its new. Dr. says give her just that. Pharmacist says give both. Dont know what to do. Mom sleeps roughly 5 hrs. wakes up and eventually goes back to sleep. Afraid to change meds. but wanna help mom if possible.
