My Child Has Grommets In Situ. They Were Inserted Just

My child has grommets in situ. They were inserted just over a year ago.
Over the last seven weeks she has had 3 ear infections and this morning she has again a pus discharge from the ear. Making this the 4th.
The first and second infection was treated with ear drops .
Third time a swab taken and oral abx given.
Results from swab was sensitive to oral abx.
The infections clear with the medication but return within a 2 week period.
She displays no temperature or general unwellness with these infections.
Is this normal with grommets?
What is the best/suitable treatment?
Should I be referred to ENT specialist?
