My boyfriend has a severe heart pain, He was born with a hole in his heart. He is just 17

My boyfriend is 17 and he keeps getting severe heart pains. He was born with a hole in his heat. Usually when his heart hurts he turns bright red, its hard for him to breath , he blacks out a lot, and his heart goes really slow and he coughs up blood . He keeps going to the emergency room or doctors and all they tell keep telling him they don’t know what’s wrong and he shouldn’t be having problems like that because he is too young. He tells me he feels like he is dying. I really want to help him what should he do. I think he needs to see a heart specialist but he doesn’t have much money or know of any heart specialist. PLEASE give me some advice I really need to help him especially since I recently found out we are having a baby together. We live in Texas and he does have insurance but I’m not sure what kind. Do you know any good specialist or websites I can visit? it only started getting really bad the last month or so

i never thought the medical care in Texas was so bad :( but still i think u need to be more persistent when u at the hospital with him : demand that they do cardiograms & ultrasound and to speak with a cardiolog. what u describe is a very negligent or unskilled med team. (or both) maybe u can go to another hospital? don't give up, demand better treatment. (i've no idea how these things work there...maybe telling them if sthg. happens u will sue them?)

I have been having pain in the center of my chest for the last 2 nights. It does not go away until I get up. I have also had several really bad migraines. I was born with a small hole in my heart and have been checked for changes there about 5 months ago and there have been no changes. I am 54 years old and am afraid that I may be having a heart attack .

My boyfriend and I are both convinced that he has heart problems. Until today it s only been a bit on an arrythmia but tonight he complained that he had a shooting pain go through his heart every heartbeat for about 30 of them. He s not worried enough to go to the doctor , but it s starting to worry me. Is it anything serious and should I drag him to the doctor?

Hi Dr, Our first baby boy born on 10th May 2014. He born on 36 week having weight 1.9kg. He is doing good but his doctor recognized an extra sound in his heart on 17th May 2014. According to his suggestion, we have showed to a pediatrician who is in service a branch of Narayana Health Care yesterday. He did some scan and told the baby has a medium hole (probably ASD, not sure still from his prescription) in his heart causing the murmur. He told that, this can be closed naturally till 2 years of kids age. He asked us to visit after 2 months. And take care of baby from cold and some precautions. He has given a syrup named some furosemide(not correct) to have 1 dose twice daily. My baby s is having mother milk nicely and gaining proper wait (2.3 kgs now, 27th May). Can you please let me know the in detail about the cure for this? And if possible what is the amount for 1 dose(1ml or ?) for the syrup furosemide(not correct)? Thanks, Probir Paul
