My 11yr old daughter has unequal chamber size of heart

my 11yr old daughter has been having chest pains & becomes breathless.?
she has had an ECG done, doctor said one of her chambers in her heart is bigger than her others so she needs to see a cardiologist, but has since began to walk with a bad limp and seems to drag her foot as her joints hurt her. the cardiologist appointment isn't till 14th april and the doctor just said it's best for her not to go to school till she's seen the specialist. nothing more has been said about what it might be but i'm worrying like mad. she has been healthy up until she had the flu 6 wks ago. please help.

I am a 33 yr old female and I swear I have heart issues. I have had so many test done for my heart and everything has come back 100% normal. i have had countless number of EKG s I have a 48 heart montior I had a echo of my heart. my bp is a little high (bottom number in the low 80 s) my cholesterol total is 166. I do suffer from panic/anxiety and my Dr (bless his heart he is awesome) says all the things I feel is related to my panic not heart. Is there really anything else they could do to test my heart or did I pretty get everything? My doc said he wouldn t send me for a cardic cath cuz everything else was fine. Yes I do take meds to my panic attacks.

My soon to be 7 yr old daughter complains of a sore heart in the morning when she wakes up- when she gets up in morning says her heart beats fast and she seems a little out of breath. She also has had a few episodes of what I think is heart burn because she will tell me that she has thrown up in her mouth, although it doesn t burn...can these two symptoms be related? Her father and I are very healthy and there is no heart disease in the family...thanks, angie

A hole in heart is found in my 2 months old daughter. I have the doppler report with me. it is showing parameters LA: 20mm Velocity , AORTA: 15mm Cradient , PA 59% E.T , EFSS 26% E/Vel Color Flow Mapping: VSD= 39mmHG TR=30mmHG Detail Report:1. Levocardia with situs solitus 2. Normal Pulmonary and systemic venous connections 3. Atrioventricular and ventriculoarterial concordance 4. Intact IAS5. Moderate to large size perimembraneous outlet restricted VSD (5.3mm)6. Detailed LV with good systolic function7. Mild TR8. No PDA9. No Coarctation of aorta10. Left aortic arch11. No Pericardial effusion Diagonsis and comments Moderate to large size perimembraneous outlet restricted VSD (5.3mm)Left Ventricular volume overloaded Mild pulmonary hypertension Doctor has suggested me medicines Tab spinomide 20 (1/5+1/5 daily), Tab Capine 12 (1/6+1/6+1/6 daily), Tab Digaxin (1/12 daily not on Sundays) for 2 monthsMy daughter was 1/2 kg under weight when born, and now she is 3.5 kgs while she must be at least 4 kgs. My concerns are; what is the probability of open heart surgery as the hole is moderate to large now?how much time will it take normally for heart to cover the hole naturally in the cases like my daughter?what are the chances of getting normal life with out having life threat? What will be the effects on growth? In case of surgery (God Forbid), can she be able to get normal life (running, walking etc)?

I have chronic a-fib, 24/7. It was previously controlled with different meds following a cardio version, but that is no longer effective. I now live at 60 of altitude in Houston, and take yearly trips, or more often, to New Mexico, Colorado and/or Wyoming, where I grew up. The altitudes vary from 8500 or 9000 to 7200 and down to about 6000 . I am a 73 yr old female, overweight and fairly sedentary due to exercise fatigue from the a-fib. I am contemplating a vacation of 2 weeks or less at an altitude of 7000 or 8000 . We would be making the ascent by automobile, and I don t anticipate any hiking or climbing. My blood pressure is well-controlled at about 120/70 but my heart rate is obviously erratic and usually rapid at 80-90. My question is whether this is something I can safely do? I had an echocardiogram, an ECG and a semiannual checkup with my cardiologist about 3 weeks ago.

I am having constant thudding heartbeats with irregular or skipped beats.
This has been going on for the last five hours . I can't sleep. It has been bad for the last two days but not constant as it is now . I'm worried. I can't fall asleep . I seem to lurch awake even as I drift off with another powerful rushing feeling of thudding in my chest and more skipped beats.
I have been complaining to my doctor for 12 years of irregular beats. I have had several ECG and scans and they always tell me there's nothing wrong with the functioning of my heart but I can't ignore these symptoms that don't go away. I believe my stressing over them makes them worse but it's a vicious circle. I am meant to be on Citalopram but took one tablet and woke up in the middle of the night clenching my jaw with skipping beats . Looking up the side effects/contra indications it says should not take if suffer any heart rhythms problems. Why is my doctor giving me these ? So I daren't take them for fear of making things worse but I do need an anxiolytic as prescribed.

Hello, my 13-year-old son has been having a very rapid heartbeat in the past 3 days: 130-147. It is possible that he has been having this problem for a long time and we have not notice. He exercise a lot and even lifts (as much as his own body weigh). Also he is a vegetarian, so we suspect that he may be anemic. We discovered this problem 3 days ago during a preventive check-up. His heartbeat was 120 and the doctor said that his EKG was ok, so that it was probably just caused by his emotional distress. Yet we have measured his heartbeat in the past 3 days at home about 8 times and it is never lower than 130 and never higher than 147. He feels okay subjectively. He runs up and down the stairs as an exercise every day and has no trouble breathing. He has increased his body weight (especially muscles) in the past year. We are traveling right now but we do plan to see his pediatrician. I am just very nervous and would like to know whether it is an emergency or whether this can wait for a week or two. Thank you.
