Muscle Pain Treated With Simvastatin, Norvasc, Synthroid. No Relief. Suggested Motrin, Aleve, Excedrine. Safty Of These Drugs?
I have been having muscle pain for several months. Lately it has gotten very bad where I have to take 800 motrin, aleve and excedrine to get through the day. I was thinking it was old age, but on Doctor radio I heard somethings about drug interactions and symptoms caused by certain drugs. I take simvastatin 20mg, norvasc 10 and synthroid 137. I have taken these for 5 years now. I had my heart checked and it had a score of 0 at the heart institute.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The medicines that you were prescribed earlier were included lipid lowering drugs which can cause a muscle pain as a side effect. The medicines given now are mild pain killers and are safe. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
