Movable Knot On The Sternum Above The Xyphoid, Tender To Touch With Slight Discoloration. Is It Worrisome?

2 days ago I found a knot on my sternum about 1/2 inch above the xyphoid. It it tender and I think it is movable but not enough to be sure. there is some discoloration immediatly over the knot. Should i be concerned?

Probably you are suffering from lipoma.

Your description matches with it.

It is a benign collection of fat.

However usually there is no bruising.

Dont worry it is not a serious thing.

The only possible treatment is surgical removal,
