MRI Showing Lesions. Need To Get Checked By A Neurologist?

An opthamologist sent me for an MRI of my head because of some visual issues I have been having. I have a lot of other neurological symptoms as well. The MRI showed two small lesions and he told me not to worry about them and we'll just wait and see if my symptoms change. Should this be investigated by a neurologist as well? I feel like it should.
