I've Been Taking Synthroid For About 10 Years And Am

I've been taking Synthroid for about 10 years and am currently taking 88 mg for hypothyroidism. I've started having hot flashes, very cranky, can't sleep, hair thinning. I just had my annual check-up and was told I am now hyperthyroid. The doctor has changed my dosage to 1 tablet daily, 6 days/week and on the 7th day take 1/2 tablet. I've been taking the new dose for about 7 weeks. The symptoms have not changed since changing the dosage. What are the chances I've developed a problem with the medication?
