Itchy, Red Bumps, Puss Filled, Mulluscum, Antibiotic

Hi my daughter has itchy red bumps that are inflammed red and puss filled. Doctors said it might be mulluscum but I have a hard time believing that. She had two red dots that she was scratching so bad they turned into hard filled puss that we been squeezing out for two weeks now. Dr gave her antibiotic . sulfa for ten days. Does this sound like mulluscum??

Hello Muc,

Welcome here on hcm.

In my view your daughter has the possibilities of having mulluscum.

But presence of inflammation pain and pus goes against.

So get culture and sensitivity of puss done and proper antibiotic treatment.

As such mulluscum doesn't need any treatment.

Thanks
