hello,
if she is not complaining of blurry vision after trauma and able to move eyes in all direction then do not worry
for itching she might be having allergic conjunctivitis whiuch increase with working in dust, hotclimate and smoke commonly
start olopatidine eye drop and mild steroid loteprednol for a couple of month .
she will be fine
take care and ready for future queries

Ophthalmologist Dr. Dadapeer K's  Response
Hello,
The injury which your wife had 8 months back is not related to her present complaints of itching and burning sensation.
The complaints of itching and burning sensation are usually found in allergic affection of the eyes in allergic conjunctivitis.
The treatment of allergic conjunctivitis is simple by using anti-allergic eye drops. Steroid eye drops may be required in severe cases not responding to treatment by anti-allergic eye drops. Along with the medical treatment avoiding the allergen if known is also helpful.

You can consult general ophthalmologist or cornea specialsit for treatment of the condition.
Thank you
