Itching And Burning Sensation After Shaving Public Area. What Type Of Creams Will Help Me?
Hi, im a 13 year old boy and I recently (2 days ago) completely shaved my pubic area with a razor due to it being uncomfortable however I made it a LOT worse! There is a itchy sensation all the time and it hurts/stings almost all the time. It is like my hairs are getting pushed into my skin and like a million pins pressing into my skin and penis. Are there any creams or treatments I can use? What is the problem in detail? And how long does it take to go? Thank you very much.

In my opinion, the genital areas are so sensitive for any scratch or any antiseptic solution. You might use some prickly heat powders for relief and don't apply any antiseptic solutions like dettol or savlon. They may worsen the condition. Keep the affected area dry with extra cloths and it may heal in about a week.

Probably as it is the first time for you , there would have been scratches, and cuts during the process of the shaving.
Now you have infection of those cuts, and scratches. causing pain and itching. In absence of the infection also the small eruption of the hair can cause the itching.
You can use the razor with one sided blade, which will cause little, scratches, and cuts, but you may get little itching.
Other wise you can have creams, with the name hair removing creams. they are of 2 types one is for coarse hair like pubic and hair on the legs, the other is for delicate hair like on the hands etc, usually for female.
If the irritation is more and oozing you can you can consult a surgeon for treatment.
