General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Last menstrual period can guide us on determining the gestational age and if it goes well the size of the tummy during examination (fundal height) then it can be quite accurate.

For a surer determination of the gestational age, the ultrasound in the first trimester is the most accurate method.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. Let me know I can assist you further.
