Is Tiredness Felt In The Afternoons While On Estrogen Gel And Ultrogesan A Concern?

Hi I have been on estrogen gel and ultrogesan tablets for a while. I noticed tiredness in the afternoons recently despite all the blood test which came back clear. Can you tell me the difference between estrogen and divigel gel please? I want to try a different type of gel - patches won’t do. Thanks

Hi,

Both Estrogel and Divigel are forms of estradiol, which is a type of estrogen hormone used in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for women experiencing symptoms of menopause. They are both applied topically to the skin and absorbed into the body through the skin.

The main difference between Estrogel and Divigel is in their formulations. Estrogel is a clear gel that comes in a pump dispenser, while Divigel is a white gel that comes in individual, pre-measured packets. Additionally, the concentration of estradiol in each product is slightly different - Estrogel comes in doses of 0.75 mg, 1.25 mg, and 1.5 mg per pump, while Divigel comes in doses of 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, and 1 mg per packet.

It's important to note that switching from one form of estrogen gel to another may not necessarily alleviate your symptoms of tiredness in the afternoons. While it's possible that a different formulation may be more effective for you, there could be other underlying factors contributing to your fatigue. It's important to discuss your symptoms with your healthcare provider, who can help determine the best course of action for your individual situation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
