Is Tightness In Throat With Feeling Of Running In Cold In The Chest Concerning?

I have had this tightness in my throst for about 6 months now. My primary and a doctor at a walk both said nothing seems a miss so I have an appointment with an ear, nose, throat specialist in a week. The feeling is very uncomfortable and now I have a feeling in my chest as if I just ran in the cold. NOt sure if this requires immediate attention or I can wait til my appointment.

I can understand your concern.
No need to worry much at present or rush to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
You are mostly having chronic pharyngitis.
So better to consult ENT doctor and get done clinical examination and endoscopic examination of throat.
You may require throat swab for the detection of causative organism.
Antibiotics, antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs are useful in your case.
Chest tightness in your case can be due to bronchitis. So if doctor hear abnormal sounds on chest auscultation you may need PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
So consult ENT doctor and discuss all these.
