Is there any treatment other than surgery for fecal fistula post appendix and hernia operation ?

fical fistula post operation of appendix since last 2 years not healing health is going down day by day with severe pain age 60yrs male what 2 do he had been opearted in the past and having tube just behind the fistula age 60 male history : tube had been implanted for rht leg viens and had been operated for harniya last to last year and after that appendix was burst and after appendix opearation he is having fical fistula and is very weak now with lots of liquid type fliud comming out of the opening and having severe pain and could not resist the pain now doctors suggest a surgery again and sum suggest that surgery will be very risky as its a comlicated case bcoz a tube is just behund the layer where surgery is to be done and patient is having poor health as well others suggest to heal it naturally but no sign of mprovment he can pass stool normally or with anyma as required but cannot eat much nor the excreation is stop what 2 do plz help us. zaheer siddiqui : 9769444125 mazgaon, mumbai - 10.

Thanks for query,
Nursing of this type of patients are really distressing and require full attention.
There is no problem for foecal fistula repair after physical fitness gained and no other problems like diabetes,heart problem and surgeon is ready.
