Is There Any Remedy For Septic Ulcer On Foot While Having Diabetes And Lungs Filled With Fluid?

MY Mother in law is 81 yrs old has type 2 dipabetes, has just been admitted to hospital, she has a ulcer on her foot, and infected leg, we have been told she is septic, she has fluid on one of her lungs, they said this is life threatening and to prepare ourselves, do you think there may be any hope

Her immune system would be impaired because of her age and diabetes but if the infection responds to the antibiotics she may survive.

She would need control of her blood sugars because impaired diabetes is associated with altered immunity.

If the infection in the limbs is very bad, they may consider amputation to remove a source of infection. She would need to be stabilised first for any procedure.
