Is There Any Relation Between Lichen Planus Infection And Thyroid Disorder?

I have recently been diagnosed with oral lichen planus, and I am being treated with a corticosteroid gel. My question is: I also have Hoshimotos Thryroid disease and Fibromyalgia, could these all be related? I wonder if Ilindymcga should be tested for Lupus? My RA test was negative.

Oral Lichen planus is an autoimmune condition like Hoshimotos thyroiditis. Both conditions are separate entities and need to be treated with immunomodulators or drugs which suppress the exaggerated immune system. Oral lichen planus has many attributes like it can get triggered during increased stress or to a particular food component. Oral cavity continuously salivates and you need medication that can adhere to the lesion and regress it. Use topical steroid gel with methylcellulose acetate.
