Is There Any Possibility Of Pregnancy?

hi, i am Nisha. Currently residing in United Arab Emirates. From last week onward, I feel like vomiting occasionally, even though I did not. I and my husband are trying to conceive now. We have been trying since December 13th 2013. I got my periods on 16th december 2013, which is 12 days early like never before. I checked for pregnancy test on 25th december but it was negative.

Hi,

Bleeding 12 days before the expected date of periods could be due to causes like:
- Irregular periods due to hormonal imbalance
- Ovulatory bleeding (usually this will be scanty) mistaken for menstrual flow
- Bleeding from local injuries or cervical erosion etc.

Urine pregnancy test should be done preferably one week after the missed period to get the accurate result. So, test on 25th may not be much helpful. The points that can help you are:
- In case of regular 28 to 30 days menstrual cycles, ovulation is expected to occur between 13th to 18th day of the cycle, so planning unprotected intercourse around that period will increase the possibility of pregnancy.
- Having nausea may suggest pregnancy but it is not confirmative of pregnancy as it can be seen in other conditions like gastritis.
- If irregularity in menstrual cycles persists, better to consult your Gynecologist once, get examined and go for ultrasound, to find out the possible cause and take treatment accordingly.
